Spencer Pratt may not be the next mayor of Los Angeles. But he’s not letting his primary defeat subdue him into silence. On Saturday, Pratt announced his plan to team up with Karen Bass’s brother to sue the Mayor for her carelessness during the Palisades fire.

“I am proud to be teaming up with Karen Bass’ brother in suing his sister for her reckless negligence that led to the destruction of our homes. I hope their Thanksgiving dinner isn’t too awks. I know ours hasn’t been the same since last year…” Pratt said on X yesterday.

Last month, Mayor Bass’s brother Kenneth sued the City of Los Angeles, the state of California and other agencies involved in the wildfires for their handling of the crisis. Kenneth and his wife claim to have suffered both emotional and physical injuries following the loss of their home in Malibu.

Pratt and his wife Heidi Montag filed suit last year against the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power. The Pratts say the service failed to provide an adequate water supply for firefighting efforts. A new Pratt lawsuit alongside Kenneth has yet to been filed.

Kenneth and Pratt will join thousands of claims also tied to losses in the Palisades fire, many additionally citing an inadequate provision of water. While both Pratt and Kenneth agree on wrongdoings from the city, the mayor’s office isn’t concerned.

“There’s nothing new here — Mayor Bass has spoken of her brother’s loss publicly since January of 2025. Thousands of people are plaintiffs in this action,” a spokesperson for the mayor’s office said in a statement.

But things aren’t done “heating up.” ABC7 reported on Sunday that a fire broke out at Pratt’s campaign office in Pacific Palisades, with arson units to respond to the scene. This sparked another tweet from Pratt, claiming ill intent.

“Still nothing from the El Segundo Times. If arsonists had set fire to one of the other mayoral candidates’ offices in the middle of counting ballots, do you think they’d have reported on it?” Pratt posted.

Though Pratt previously said he would leave LA if he lost the race, he has now declared “war” on the city’s politicians and is seeking justice through his lawsuit.  He has promised to take down an unspecified LA candidate with incriminating evidence, threatening that the politician will be forced to resign with the FBI knocking at her door. “Ignited” with rage and a “fiery” hate for Bass, Cockburn predicts Pratt’s political “hill” is just getting started. Clear the way, Pratt is here to stay.
