Mike Lindell is not ready to rest his weary head. The MyPillow magnate stepped aside from his bedding business to run as a Republican for the governorship of Minnesota – and earned President Trump’s “COMPLETE AND TOTAL ENDORSEMENT.” Sadly for him, primary voters in the Land of 10,000 Lakes didn’t heed his call to arms: with 95 percent of the vote counted, Lindell trails Minnesota House Speaker Lisa Demuth by over 45,000 votes.
Lindell was infamously subject to defamation lawsuits from voting machine companies Dominion and Smartmatic for claiming they had rigged the 2020 presidential election against Trump. Naturally, he smells foul play in his own defeat. Earlier this morning, Lindell told a huddle of press that there were “problems with the computers.”
“Get rid of these computers in our elections, we’re like a third-world country,” he said.
Lindell was counting on the Election Day votes to make up his margin, but was stymied by an advantageous set of ballots for Demuth. “All of a sudden it went like this for me,” he said, miming a downward trajectory. “It went straight up for her, it just doesn’t make sense you guys.”
Lindell says he has his own “different teams” assessing the ballots and that one had spotted “a couple anomalies.”
“If I find there was nothing happened there, I will let you all know tomorrow,” he pledged.
The pillow prince spent the night livestreaming his watch party on his network, Lindell TV. “I’m not going to give up this race until the votes are counted,” he told a reporter in the wee hours. “That’s nonsense.” Lindell was eager to point out that votes were counted in Minnesota the same way they were counted in Arizona in 2022: mail-in and early votes first, then Election Day votes. “They have not counted one vote from today,” he said, three hours into the crackly, in-and-out stream.
“Kendall is 42,000 behind,” Lindell said, when a Star-Tribune reporter pointed out that fellow gubernatorial candidate Kendall Qualls had already conceded. “Why would I concede?”
Lindell has yet to cite any irregularities with the other Minnesota primary races, such as the House contests for Tom Emmer, Brad Finstad and Pete Stauber, all of whom were also endorsed by Trump and all of whom won by margins of 66 points or more.
Lindell TV has just gone live again, with a broadcast entitled “Minnesota Election Fallout: Lindell Raises Questions as Election Security Concerns Grow: THE MIKE LINDELL SHOW.” The network’s Pentagon correspondent Heather Mullins explained she is guest-hosting for Lindell as he is currently “crunching numbers.” Cockburn is watching with bated breath…
