With his passion for wine and a relentless willingness to innovate, Gary Boom, CEO and founder of Bordeaux Index, a leading global fine wine and spirit merchant, has changed the way fine wine is bought, sold and traded. In 1997, when the company was founded, fax machines, mobile phones and good old-fashioned Royal Mail was how it was done. Indeed, Gary launched the business after ordering a case of one of the world’s most prestigious wines – and it was left on his doorstep in the rain. Our unrivalled ability to source pristine wine in the market defined Bordeaux Index in the early days, and this remains a leading principle today.
