The Trump campaign just expanded its circle of senior campaign advisors to welcome five new operatives, including former Trump 2016 campaign manager Corey Lewandowski. With roughly eighty days until the election, Trump is attempting to reunite the dream team that got him into the White House back in 2016. Lewandowski will reportedly serve above Trump’s co-campaign managers Chris LaCivita and Susie Wiles, amid rumors that they are the most vulnerable on Trump’s campaign.  They "are all veterans of prior Trump campaigns, and their unmatched experience will help President Trump prosecute the case against Kamala Harris and Tim Walz, the most radical ticket in American history,” LaCivita and Wiles said.

Former first lady Melania Trump plans on releasing her first memoir this fall, entitled Melania. The book is slated to tell “a powerful and inspiring story of a woman who has carved her own path, overcome adversity and defined personal excellence,” according to her office. The book will be published by Skyhorse Publishing and will have two versions, a “Collector’s Edition” signed by the former first lady and a “Memoir Edition.” The fifty-four-year-old has kept relatively quiet about her time in the White House and life as a whole, and opted not to speak at the RNC, marking a departure from tradition for candidates’ wives. She did appear onstage with her husband at the end of his remarks and watched other speakers from the dais on the final day.

After being gaslit into believing President Joe Biden’s cognitive abilities were up to par, some are licking their wounds by questioning the mental fitness and age of former president Donald Trump. Now that Biden is out of the race, Donald Trump is the oldest presidential nominee in US history. “Trump, a seventy-eight-year-old with a history of heart disease and obesity, according to experts, has not shared any updated bloodwork results or other specific information during this campaign to help experts assess his ongoing medical risks,” Cockburn read Monday in the Washington Post. Think of it — an obese president! Cue the fat shamers.

Endorsements for Kamala Harris have been rolling quickly since Joe Biden announced his withdrawal — chief among that of British pop singer Charli xcx.  On Sunday, she tweeted "kamala IS brat," which racked up 18 million views. Chronically online Gen Z-ers have been creating meme compilations of Kamala with songs from Charli's brat album such as "von dutch" and "360" ever since Biden's disastrous debate performance last month made his demise look likely. https://twitter.com/ryanlong03/status/1808510079382982870 The cover of the album is neon green with "brat" written in lower case black letters. Harris and her campaign were quick to respond.

It’s been a rough few days over at MSNBC. Since the attempted assassination on Donald Trump over the weekend, the network seems to be the one unable to regain its footing. Executives were worried Mika Brzezinski planned to pull out her hand-stitched Trump voodoo doll. Whatever the couple had cooked up, Joe Scarborough was not happy that they weren’t able to pull it off.

Milwaukee, Wisconsin Cockburn is currently drinking his first half-decent coffee of the Republican National Convention in the media filing center, bleary eyed after two nights of aggressive socializing. Wisconsin is supposed to be famous for its beer and cheese — but it’s overcooked burgers and watery cold brew that have been keeping your devoted correspondent functional in the sweltering Midwest heat. His first social soirée was an impromptu Monday cocktail with Liz Truss, the former British PM who was recently de-MP’d in Labour’s landslide victory.

Even amid inner Democratic turmoil over his capability to stay in office, President Joe Biden refuses to step down. In terms of proving he is too diminished to run, Cockburn is not sure what more evidence the Democratic Party needs. Biden mumbled through his Complex news interview with Speedy Morman on Friday. A few people in the comments on the interview said they had to turn on subtitles to understand him. Biden also said, “In 2020 when Barack asked me to vice president...” Cockburn can forgive the guy for making a simple mistake, having been Barack Obama’s VP from 2009-2017. And yet with repeated evidence of memory mix-ups — not pertaining to normal, everyday mistakes, but to serious questions of mental acuity — each infraction is increasingly concerning.
