A car-crash clean-up press conference Biden will hope to forget

President Joe Biden surprised the American people Thursday night by delivering previously unscheduled remarks on his classified documents scandal — and promptly created an unmitigated PR disaster. Earlier in the day, the special counsel investigating Biden’s improper retention and storage of classified documents issued his report. Robert Hur found the president did mishandle documents, broke national security law and undermined national security by releasing classified information to his ghostwriter. However, perhaps even more damning, Hur declined to recommend charges against the president, asserting that he presents as a “well-meaning” elderly man with a poor memory.

Is Hallie the most underrated member of the Biden family?

Move over Dr. B! There’s a new lady from the House of Biden who is stealing the spotlight.   Hallie Biden, widow of Beau Biden and ex-lover of her brother-in-law Hunter Biden, has earned the scrutiny of the House GOP.  After two months of stalling, this week the Treasury Department finally handed over suspicious activity reports relating to Hunter Biden’s finances to House Republicans.  Shortly thereafter, House Oversight Committee chairman James Comer revealed that a “new” Biden family member was involved in the divvying up of a windfall of Chinese cash.

Joe Biden is not the grief whisperer

Since when is the President of the United States everyone's therapist? Since the 2020 presidential election, when Democratic politicians and the media designated the commander-in-chief as our nation's collective grief counselor. Enter: Joe Biden This election, we were told, was about character. Joe Biden, having suffered his own immense personal losses, was in a unique position to help the nation heal and unify after a tumultuous four years of President Donald Trump.

Is Afghanistan to blame for Biden’s sinking popularity — or is COVID?

‘How many more generations of America’s daughters and sons would you have me send to fight Afghanistan’s civil war when Afghan troops will not?’ Biden asked last week. ‘How many more lives, American lives, is it worth, how many endless rows of headstones at Arlington National Cemetery? I’m clear on my answer: I will not repeat the mistakes we’ve made in the past.’ They were the words of a man who knew from what he spoke and knew to whom he was speaking. It was not to the national news media, an elite that has abandoned its working-class roots and audience, and have nothing but censure and contempt for Biden’s brave decision.
