The entertainment world has been in shock the past couple of weeks because Ariana Grande, the pop artist behind the song “break up with your girlfriend, i’m bored,” stole another woman’s husband.  And once again, the mainstream media is on a mission to convince us that we’re not allowed to blame women when they get involved in extramarital affairs.  Grande, a Grammy award-winning singer and former Nickelodeon actress, has reportedly been dating her co-star in the upcoming Wicked movie adaptation. The only problem is that both Grande and the co-star, Ethan Slater, are married.  It’s a classic on-set Hollywood drama (even though the movie is filming in England).

Ladies and gentlemen, he’s done it again. Pete Davidson is reportedly dating Emily Ratajkowski: model, businesswoman and certified stunner. The news isn’t that shocking to Cockburn after seeing the string of babes Davidson has dated in the past. The list includes Ariana Grande, Kate Beckinsale, Margaret Qualley, Kaia Gerber, Phoebe Dynevor and most recently Kim Kardashian. Pete’s whirlwind romance with Kardashian ended earlier this year after just nine months together. Thank goodness Skete got rid of his tattoos dedicated to Kim that read, “My girl is a lawyer,” and also the initials of Kim and her four kids; KNSCP, representing North, Saint, Chicago and Psalm.

What fresh hell have we brought upon ourselves?

Lots of people dared to hope that 2021 would bring a return to normal. What is normal? Well, there’s a lot of opinions on that. For some, it’s just life before coronavirus. For others, it’s pre-Trump. For Cockburn, it would be life before the internet, or perhaps before the invention of the printing press. Anyway, the point is that all of those hopes are useless. We may be leaving coronavirus hell only to enter a fresher hell with even worse musical numbers.
