Lee Anderson takes over as Reform chairman

There has been a reshuffle at Reform towers today. Lee Anderson will be adding the role of chairman to his growing portfolio of positions, as Dr David Bull steps down from the job.

In an official party press release, it is claimed Bull is moving on to ‘focus on standing at the next election’. Mr S understands the poll in question is not a general election, but rather another by-election being anticipated by Reform. It’s not the one in Makerfield or Aberdeen South. Nor is it the one in Arbroath and Broughty Ferry, or a possible race for the Manchester mayoralty.

Announcing his new gig, Anderson declared:

‘Reform UK is giving a voice to millions of hardworking people who feel ignored by the political establishment, and I look forward to working alongside Nigel Farage and our dedicated team. Together, we will continue fighting for common sense policies, secure borders, lower taxes and a government that puts the British people first. I will do everything I can to make sure we carry our stunning performance in the recent May elections into the next general election, where we can smash Labour’s red wall to smithereens.’

Speaking of by-elections, the new Reform chairman told GB News this afternoon that the party’s Makerfield candidate will be announced ‘in the next 24 hours’. He assures viewers the person in question ‘will not be a carpet-bagger’. Good to hear.
